Rhodes Island - The Island of the Knights
While reaching in the island of Rhodes anyone may understand
that the charm of the island is not owed exclusively in the brilliant
sun and in the crystal seas. The visitor impresses the continuous alternation
of landscapes, the unique variety that characterizes the natural environment,
but also the possibility to know the rich history of the island, by visiting
the many monuments of all historical periods. 
The city of Rhodes is cosmopolitan modern but also romantic. Going down
in the center the visitor passes inevitably through Mandraki area and
sees the busy Marina. Apart from that the visitor can walk in the shades
of imposing Italian buildings and Modern Greek mansions and feel the history
of Rhodes city, through the architectural variety of the buildings.
Following the National road from the city of Rhodes to Faliraki, you
meet the village Koskinou that gains you because of its graphic popular
architecture. Going down to the sea you reach the curative baths of Kalithea
that  functioned
during the season that Italians was holding the island. The buildings,
the sea and the palm trees compose a cinematographic setting. A visit
in this unique place can combine itself with a relaxing plunge even with
courses of dives. Continuing to the southerners you reach Faliraki area,
one from the most popular places for vacations in the island, literally
by the wave and under the sun.
The nightlife in Faliraki offers a variety of alternative choices.For
example the pleasure of a dinner in coastal traditional tavernas , or
the intense rhythms of bars and discos and of course the peacefulness
of nightly walk by the quiet sea. The ascent to the monastery of Virgin Mary 'Tsampika' is tedious, but from
that height you see with the breath cut the beauties of Rhodes Island.
Looking at the North appears the immense beach of Afantou. The municipality
of Afantou with the white low houses, maintains a particular character
and its residents their spontaneity.
More southerly is distinguished Kolympia area, with its own beautiful
sandy beach. Precisely, under the imposing rock, unfolds immense the beach
of Tsampika with the golden sand and aquamarine waters. 
One of the most enchanting resorts of Rhodes island, that combines the
beauty of nature with the cultural heritage, is considered the region
of Ljndos. The houses in Lindos region are up to the hills, and appear
so white in the light blue depth of sky and sea. Walking through the paved
narrow streets you enjoy the frugal beauty of the traditional islander
architecture. Following the small streets, you lead your steps at the
ancient Acropolis that witnesses the whole history of Rhodes. From there
you admire the golden seasides that completes the magic of landscape.
And when the sun goes down in the islands of Aegean, magical nights waiting
the visitor....

Symi or go to Turkey at Marmaris.
