" Nafsimedon " is
one of the three sons, which Nafplios the founder of the city of
Nafplion had, from his mating with Kleimeni. The other two sons
were Oiax and Palamidis. The name Nafsimedon means ship captain
(skipper). An absolutely fitting name, if one considers that his
father was Nafplios, who founded a well protected port (Naus + Pleo)
and his grandfather was the God of the Seas, Poseidon himself.
