Milos Island was given birth by the volcanic lava that
emerged through the crystal waters of Aegean Sea.
Milos island is known for the statue of Venus (now in the Louvre Museum
in Paris), was discovered there. However it is only recently that tourism
has noticed its more than 70 beautiful beaches with their glistening
silver sand and clear blue waters.

the boat approaches also the harbors of remainder islands of western
Cyclades (Kythnos, Serifos, Sifnos, Kimolos), the travel lasts roughly
7 hours. The journey time with highspeed ferries is approximately 4hours
and 30 minutes. Also, are carried out daily itineraries with new type
catamaran during summer period. Roughly three-four times the week, exists
itineraries that connect Milos island with the islands of Ios,
Folegandros, Santorini, Crete.
The port of Milos island, Adamantas, is high specifications
seasonal center. Adamantas was built by Cretes ( from Sfakia village)
that reached Milos island when was chased from Turcs in 1824. All the

and so many others that worth a visit. Milos has also some beaches that
are most known to the visitors such as Firiplaka, Sarakiniko (everyone
says that Sarakiniko beach resembles with lunar landscape), Achivadolimni,
Papafragas, and Gerontas.
