Hotel Stanley is located 700 meters from the city center of Athens,
and 1,5 Km from the Constitution Square, a forty five minutes drive
from the Airport and the nearest sandy shore.
Stanley Hotel is outside the traffic restriction ring of Athens,
with easy access to both National Roads (to Patras or Thessaloniki).
Transportation from and to Stanley has dramatically improved with
the opening of the subway station the entrance of which, is right
at the hotel's sidewalk. The hotel operates a privately owned indoor
parking lot with a capacity of 120 cars
Stanley Hotel was built in 1966, and renovated its rooms and restaurant
in 1998, and its Piano restaurant, Reception and lounges and conference
space recently. It has one main restaurant of 535 square meters
(4800 square feet) overlooking the also renovated Karaiskaki square
with the unique monument of the deceased Aviators. The second restaurant
is called VIRTUS, lies on the rooftop of the Hotel and is a beautiful
contemporary piano restaurant. It's operating "a la carte"
with a rich card of local delicacies, and char-grilled fresh meats
and fish. Dinners are accompanied by a carefully chosen wine card,
live piano music and singing and of course the magnificent view
on the whole city of Athens including the Acropolis and the Lycabettus
hill.
Stanley Hotel has 3 bars: a day bar by the reception lobby, a rooftop
bar by the swimming pool (seasonally open) and the mezzanine bar,
completely refurbished, with good coctails, music and snacks. Other
outlets include the TV rooms with satellite reception, the 2 hairdressers
for ladies and for gentlemen and the jewelry store.
The reception desk, lies in a recently renovated hall, with granite
floors new paintings and decorations and state of the art lighting
and air conditioning. It operates on a 24 hours basis, and has money
exchange and tours bookings services.
